Overview

I̊rafdèzkíh Se was founded durring the late 10th century, by Brîtco Ab Owain. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.

I̊rafdèzkíh Se was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the late 10th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and I̊rafdèzkíh Se is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

I̊rafdèzkíh Se is is constructed arround a semi-circular premissive baked earthen mainstreet, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The town sits comfortably behind a palisade wall complete with a timber gatehouse and battlments. Astonishigly, the timber-based walls are in pristine condishion, as if they had just been finished before you laied eyes upon them.

Before you’ve even set foot into the heart of I̊rafdèzkíh Se, you can smell it. The incense. It hangs about the town like a cloud. Monks, priests, and clerics are everywhere, all dedicated to the same god, all preforming the same rituals to bless and anoint building,s streets, people, animals, you name it they are or have blessed it. The same holysymbols is everywhere too. Its on buildings, on people, and even branded into livestock. This town certainly loves its god.

Cultural Notes

I̊rafdèzkíh Se's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by their massive, monolithic and 'blocky' appearance with a rigid geometric style. It was best known for its rough, unfinished surfaces, unusual shapes, heavy-looking materials, straight lines, and small windows. Modular elements were often used to form masses representing specific functional zones, grouped into a unified whole.

In I̊rafdèzkíh Se sometimes, near one of the seasonal solstices, the sun appears to split into three and it rains from a clear sky for several hours.

The Howler near I̊rafdèzkíh Se are known to be a mutant strain of the creature.

I̊rafdèzkíh Se's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves reenactments to channel Charm energies of tier 3 via chanting.

History

I̊rafdèzkíh Se is in secret rebellion against their ostensible liege, having cut deals with his enemies, plotted to betray him for their own gain, or bridled under his tyranny and sought a better lord. The community’s leadership is all in on this plot, and outside viceroys or representatives are being kept carefully ignorant of the reality. The common folk may be oblivious to the truth, though they’ll doubtless have felt the same motivations and promptings that convinced their leaders to turn traitor.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century, I̊rafdèzkíh Se was attacked by a slaver gang capable of fielding large forces. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is I̊rafdèzkíh Se lost 106 people, 290 livestock, and 32 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 45, when members of I̊rafdèzkíh Se's militia enacted an operation to delay the operations of the enemy. The operation was complicated by a natural disaster interrupted the operation, shattering unit cohesion. The conflict ended with the defense of the port against a siege, which ended in defeat for I̊rafdèzkíh Se's forces. The war is remembered in legend by I̊rafdèzkíh Se's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
